Coretta Bessi is a well-recognised and highly respected Procurement thought leader. Her previous executive experience spans across the mining industry with BHP Billiton, heavy manufacturing with BlueScope Steel, telecommunications with Australia’s National Broadband Network and energy utilities with Ausgrid.
She has broad exposure having been engaged across the private sector and the public sector as a consultant. Coretta is passionate about the professionalism of Procurement and Supply Chain so has lectured for in excess of twelve years to university masters students. Her other topics of interest are sustainable procurement, digital transformation and talent diversity across females and millennials.
Coretta is currently the Chief Procurement Officer at Westpac, co-founder of Ladies in Procurement Network and Director of St John Ambulance (NSW).
Ro CoroneosSenior Manager, Lendlease
Ro is a lawyer, land economist and corporate governance professional with 30 years’ public and private sector experience in real estate and utilities sectors.
Ro works in Lendlease’s global supply chain team, focusing on supply chain risk, human rights and modern slavery.
Ro previously led the Social Strategy for Lendlease’s Barangaroo Project, which included the multi-award winning Barangaroo Skills Exchange, a ‘pop-up’ college with TAFENSW, which over the Project period upskilled over 11,000 construction workers.
Ro also authored the Design for Dignity Guidelines, which are ‘Best Practice’ principles for inclusive design in commercial spaces, in collaboration with the Australian Network on Disability and the Westpac Group. The Guidelines won the (business category) of the 2016 Australian Human Rights Awards.
Ro chairs the Property Council of Australia’s Social Sustainability Committee, and is a member of the NSW TAFE Commission Board.
